Blood and Sand
If you’re
into gore and action “Spartacus Blood and Sand” is the show well worth
watching. The experience is different than ever seen in its form. It is a
combination of two great ideas and came out perfectly. It definitely is one of
the best of its category. The story line and acting was well done making the
show have a balance. This television show offers many great aspects to make fans
want to keep watching it.
The
experience of this show is awesome. It brings forth a mixture between the
movies “Gladiator” and “300” making a full on action packed, bloody, medieval
show. If the two movies were to give birth to make something greater of the two
it would be this show. “Spartacus” takes you on a roller coaster ride through
hells finest battles and blood and guts. The show brings forth armies of both
Thracian and Roman revealing their battle tactics and styles along with their
awe-inspiring weapons, armor, and gear. In deep thought, all of the shows ammo
is not only making great entertainment, but it is also creating the desire to
want to live in that time. Or in the very least, want to dress up and go out
“Larping” which, is to dress up in fake medieval outfits and battle with other
people for fun. Nothing is better than an all around detailed medieval show
such as “Spartacus Blood and Sand” has to offer.
This show is geared towards adults
more so for the fact of the nudity and the extreme violence. The whole time
watching the show was exciting because it never got too slow and it kept up its
storyline and kept the action coming. Another good aspect about “Spartacus” is
that it has lots of cursing and uses them at the right times. There is a part
in episode one of the season “Blood and Sand” where a leader of the Thracian
warriors says “Hold your fucking tongues!” because everyone is yelling at each
other in dispute and conflict about the Roman Legatus wanting them to align
with them against Rome’s enemies. A Roman Legatus is a person of the Roman army
who is a general and commander of separate and several Legions. This made me
laugh a little especially noticing how quickly it worked in the Thracians
favor. Attitude is created in this by these aspects making it serious. Making
this show as unlimited as it is has given it without any doubt a promising
future for its success.
The action and graphics in the show
that were done was the best part. It definitely utilizes the tools for a great
action show for when there are battles. Also, when best suited, it freezes time
and slows parts down at the perfect moments so you can catch every second of
the best gore moments and sword play. In doing this it also emphasizes the
“Wow” moments for viewers and makes you edge on your seat always wanting to see
more. In the end, Having all of the right areas covered gives life to
“Spartacus” making it one of the best shows of all time to becoming addicting.
The story for “Spartacus” starts out
great. It is always supportive so it is not imbalanced poorly like many shows
that overdo the action and leave out a good story. In Blood and Sand they
create a good base for the show. The way the show creates the conflict between
the Thracians and Roman Empire because of one man named Spartacus that chose to
defy his new leader Gaius Claudius Glaber, who is a Legatus for the Roman Empire. The
story stays in one direction and doesn’t flop around making it easy to get
lost. One aspect to enjoy is the main object that drives the main character
Spartacus, which is his wife who has been taken into slavery for his actions.
Once this occurs, then it really grabs more attention into the show. Especially
since it manifests the feeling of needing to find out what happens to her as
well as wondering if Spartacus is ever going to find her again. “Spartacus”
does a great job helping to keep direction and an intriguing story.
Overall
score for “Spartacus Blood and Sand” earns its keep. Firstly, for the
outstanding visuals and the striking graphics done effectively gives a boost.
As far as the action, fluent motion of the battle scenes, slow affects and
emphasis on cutting moments all goes, it helps keep you on the edge of your
seat. This significantly helps present a breathtaking and mind blowing show. In
actuality, making the show geared towards adults allows it the ability as a
show to not have limits of options and it can be often unpredictable.
Therefore, giving it its own uniqueness where it can be done and making it more
exciting. This made sure that interest wouldn't be lost to start thinking that
it’s just another action movie biting off of something else. Also,
the fact that this show has four seasons thus far goes to prove that it has
been and retained its greatness. “Spartacus” holds it down and makes viewers
want to jump up in excitement for the entertainment like bait.
All in all,
“Spartacus Blood and Sand” delivered its glory flawlessly. Its rank in
its category holds high in the ratings and has stayed intact. As for being
entertaining, it is well appreciated and picked for one of the top choices. This
show has come a long way and has a lot still in store. The future for this show
is promising as well as its loyal fans, me being one of them. It is highly
recommended to watch this show for anyone who is able to, and if you’re not grabbed
by the first episode that is surprising. This is a great show and is worth
giving a shot over many shows out there. Without further ado, may glory be
yours, long live Spartacus!
